The International Schools of China recently announced the names of the new head principals at Wuhan Yangtze International School (WYIS) and at Tianjin International School (TIS).
Mr. Raul Harri will be moving from International School of Qingdao (ISQ) to Tianjin to fill the Head Principal position currently held by Dr. Scott Finnamore. Mr. Harri has twenty years of experience in education, with nine of those years in leadership roles. For the last five years, he has served as the middle school principal for ISQ. Before coming to ISQ, Mr. Harri served as an administrator in the Jinahua School of Foreign Languages in Weihai, China. In addition to his leadership roles, he has taught English literature, history, and drama.
Mr. Harri holds a Bachelor’s of Education degree from the University of Canberra and a Master of Education from the University of South Australia.
Mr. Jeff Kingma joined the staff of WYIS in 2007 teaching PE, Health and ESOL. In 2009, he assumed the role of secondary principal and in 2010 he became Assistant All-School Principal. Mr. Kingma will assume his new role with the departure of current Head Principal, Mr. Doug Tader, in June.

A native of British Columbia, Canada, Mr. Kingma received his Bachelor’s Degree at Calvin College in Michigan and an MA in Physical Education Pedagogy from Western Michigan University. He is currently working on a second MA in Educational through Crown College.
